I was approached by a surprise visit from Marilyn, the daughter of the late Geoff Horwood. Marilyn went solo in the Kookaburra back in the day, after being winch launched, most often to a mere 500ft, barley enough altitude to join a circuit she said. I showed her some pictures from her Mum Pat now 98 and her father Geoff, she had never seen before, from the 60th anniversary in 1997, 24 years ago. Marilyn and her partner Tony Bedford are both (retired) glider pilots with years of experience. I hope they hitch the caravan in Adelaide and stay a weekend sometime.
