Glasflugel Mosquito B: VH-FQK

The Mosquito is a good choice for pilots converting to their first flapped glider. It has a large speed range for each flap setting, and is pleasant to fly, with a comfortable cockpit. FQK is fitted with a Borgelt B-100 flight computer with GPS, which gives the pilot constant updates on final glide as well as navigational assistance.

At first glance, the Mosquito's fuselage and airbrake system look similar to those of the Hornet. The same parallellogram control stick and "automatic trim" is fitted. However the Mosquito is nicer to fly: with flaps, there's better aileron control at low speeds and better performance at high speeds.
