(If you haven't used one before: a mailing list is a special email address. Any message to it goes to all the list subscribers, so it's a way to talk to many people at once.) The Chat list is a way for Club members to talk to each other, about topics that don't have to be club related. Everyone is welcome to join this list. About the Mailing List These conditions apply to all our lists: You must be subscribed to a list to send a message on it. This will keep the majority of junk mail off our lists. There's a size limit and an attachment limit on our lists. The size limit is presently 17 kB (just less than a common email virus). Attached files are not accepted and will be stripped from a message before it goes out on the list. These limits will keep the mail flowing smoothly, and also keep viruses from spreading on the list. If you want to send everyone a file - don't! Instead, put it on a webpage and tell everyone the address. Or send it to ONE person at their own email address. There are presently no archives, and no digests of the list. If you subscribe, your addresses will be used ONLY for the mailing list. So... subscribers' addresses is not available. There is an info file for each list. Most of the info is on this webpage, but if you want to read it, send email to wgcchat-info@lists.riverland.net.au for the chat list info.
